Brenda & Graeme

Brenda & Graeme at Solo Gym

Brenda and her husband Graeme are both retired and have trained with me once a week for three years

“When I contacted Chris, I had just retired and was looking after my grandchildren. I wanted to be able to run around after my grandkids and, having been a nurse, I was also keen to protect my health in later years. I liked the idea of exercising with an occupational therapist, but I didn’t want to do it on my own. So I asked my husband Graeme to come along, too.

I had never done any kind of fitness training before, so I had no idea what things like lunges and burpees were. If I’d gone to a big group class, I would have felt totally out of my depth, whereas Chris shows you exactly what to do.

Since I’ve been training with Chris, I feel fitter and I know that I’m protecting my heart and my bone health for the future, too. And training alongside Graeme definitely brings out a natural competitiveness between us!”

Brenda, 63

“Training with Chris has turned out to be a really good idea, as it helps both of us with our general fitness. He’s very considerate and he takes our age, our fitness levels, and our capabilities into account, and he never pushes you too far.

I definitely feel fitter and I can walk faster and further. We also have a good chat about football! He’s just a lovely guy who really knows his stuff.”

Graeme, 67
